Panel beating and body panel repairs near Heathrow

Traditional panel beating skill, backed by modern repair equipment.

Panel repairs fix dented, creased or damaged wings, doors, bonnets and quarter panels, either by reshaping the original metal or, where that is not safe, by fitting a replacement panel. We carry out both at our workshop in Harlington, near Heathrow.

Panel work is where craftsmanship still matters. Where a panel can be safely reshaped we repair it, keeping original factory metal and reducing cost and turnaround.

Where damage is beyond safe repair, we replace to manufacturer method with correct fixings, sealing and corrosion protection.

If you would like to understand the reshaping side of the job first, our guide explains what panel beating involves.

Repair the panel or replace it?

Keeping the original factory panel is usually the better outcome where it is safe to do so. It keeps the car's original metal and seams, avoids new-part costs and normally shortens the time the car spends in the workshop. Dents, creases and impact damage on doors, wings, sills and rear quarters can often be reshaped by hand before the panel is prepared for paint.

When a panel is stretched, torn or too badly creased to restore properly, we fit a new one and set the gaps and shut lines so it sits correctly against its neighbours. Seams are sealed and cavities protected so the repair lasts.

Frequently asked questions

Can a creased door or wing be repaired rather than replaced?
Often, yes. Where the metal can be safely reshaped we repair it, keeping the original factory panel. If it is stretched or torn we fit a new panel instead.
What happens when a panel has to be replaced?
We fit the new panel to manufacturer method with correct fixings, set the gaps and shut lines, seal the seams and protect the cavities before refinishing.
Do you repair panels on vans?
Yes. Vans and light commercial panels are part of the panel work we carry out.
How do I find out if my panel is repairable?
Send photos on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether it looks repairable, with a free estimate. Larger damage is best seen at our workshop.
